Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. Cook the lasagna noodles according to the package instructions until they are al dente.
  3. While the noodles are cooking, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic in a large skillet over medium-high heat until the beef is browned and the onion is tender.
  4. Add the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, basil, salt, and black pepper to the skillet and stir to combine.
  5. Simmer the beef mixture for 10-15 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened and the flavors have melded.
  6. In a separate bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, 1 cup of mozzarella cheese, 1/4 cup of Parmesan cheese, and parsley.
  7. Spread a layer of the beef mixture in the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  8. Arrange 4 lasagna noodles over the beef mixture, overlapping them slightly.
  9. Spread half of the cheese mixture over the noodles.
  10. Repeat with another layer of beef mixture, noodles, and cheese mixture.
  11. Top the lasagna with the remaining beef mixture and sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
  12. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  13. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
