Egg fried rice



Egg fried rice is a popular and delicious dish that is quick and easy to prepare.
Here is a simple recipe for making egg fried rice at home:

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups cooked white rice, preferably leftover and chilled
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup frozen peas and carrots, thawed
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the vegetable oil and swirl to coat the pan.
  3. Add the beaten eggs and scramble until cooked through.
  4. Remove the eggs from the pan and set aside.
  5. Add the peas and carrots to the pan and stir-fry for 1-2 minutes, or until they are heated through and slightly softened.
  6. Add the green onions and garlic to the pan and stir-fry for an additional 30 seconds, or until fragrant.
  7. Add the chilled rice to the pan and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes, or until the rice is heated through and starting to turn golden brown.
  8. Add the soy sauce and sesame oil to the pan and stir-fry for an additional minute or two, or until the rice is evenly coated.
  9. Add the scrambled eggs back to the pan and stir-fry for an additional minute, or until everything is well combined.
  10. Season the fried rice with salt and pepper, to taste.
  11. Serve your delicious homemade egg fried rice hot and enjoy!
