Bolognese Sauce



Bolognese sauce is a classic Italian meat-based sauce that is often served with pasta. Here’s a recipe to make your own delicious Bolognese sauce at home:

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 carrot, chopped
  • 1 celery stalk, chopped
  • 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup red wine
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions:

  4. Bring the sauce to a simmer, then reduce the heat to low and let it cook for 1-2 hours, stirring occasionally, until it has thickened and the flavors have melded together.
