Paneer tikka

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound paneer, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Skewers (if grilling)

Instructions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt until smooth.
  2. Add the paneer cubes to the marinade and gently toss until they are fully coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 4 hours.
  3. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) or prepare a grill for medium-high heat.
  4. If grilling, thread the paneer cubes onto skewers.
  5. Grease a baking sheet or grill with vegetable oil. Arrange the marinated paneer cubes in a single layer.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes or grill for 5-7 minutes, or until the paneer is lightly charred on the outside and tender on the inside.
